I really need to get myself on a regular schedule that includes all elements of the things that I want and need to accomplish both for the household and for myself.
My regular physical therapy seems like a good place to start as it requires me to be up at a fairly specific time of day. I could use that to work towards my own physical retraining. I can focus on the exercises that I should be doing daily and then move to include other elements similar to a Couch to 5k program. It's highly unlikely that I would ever actually run a race, but I could appreciate the conditioning if only to improve my own functionality.
The regular sleep schedule would also do well by me. If I start waking at a regular time as well as taking my melatonin at a more regular time (along with my personal medication), it would be the basis for having a more normal day. I could set up my day to deal with some household tasks regularly, rather than save them up for a single day.
I could then devote my evenings and weekends to specific things I want to do. I have a weekly D&D game that I have been attending as well as the tabletop game group that I have been running once or twice a month on weekends. I want to start my own D&D game, but that seems to be running into a variety of roadblocks. It will get solved or it won't -- such is life.
I haven't been devoting much time to my writing. Journaling seems to be the limit these days and this place shows how well I have been doing that in a more public environment. I am still writing in my paper journal, but that is pretty repetitive -- even more so than my online bitching.
This is going to be something that I need keep considering and focusing on. A more normal, regular routine is going to be important, especially if I decide to get back into the labor market. It is something that I need to do if I have the intent of being able to survive after my father's passing. Right now, I am utterly dependent on him and him me.
