|No Snow Day|
February 11, 2013
No snow day for us.
By this morning, the snow had stopped and the roads were passable.
When I looked outside this morning, I was less than thrilled to see the 3 foot pile of compressed snow behind my truck that the plow had deposited there.
I hate having to start the day by shovelling for 40 minutes.
But I dug out enough that the 4 wheel drive got my truck the rest of the way out and we headed to work.
We had lots of cancelled appointments since most people were digging themselves out, and Amy was nice enough to agree to work the full day (she was only working a half day) so I could come home and shovel the rest of my drive and sidewalks when it was still light and reasonably warm out.
When I got home at 2, one of my amazing neighbors had used their snowblower to clear my driveway and my front walk so I only had to do the 100 feet or so between our backdoor and driveway.
I'm not sure which neighbor did it, but the two most likely suspects are getting cupcakes on Wednesday.
In spite of a light shovelling load, I'm still exhausted (probably because I stayed up too late thinking I wouldn't have to work today) so I'm going to head to bed early. Now, in fact.
Tomorrow's another day and there's more snow on the horizon.
Love until later,
