Journal Birthday + important video
August 9, 2008

I started journaling here four years ago! It's my journal birthday. I love having a record of what has happened these past four years.

I've tried to keep journals before as I have mentioned previously, but I never felt like they were safe. When I was a teenager, my father and step-mother read everything I wrote. I seriously don't know how they found my notebooks, but they always did. I wasn't a bad kid. Later in my life, when I would write, I was always afraid to put down what I really felt, lest someone find it.

In this place, I can track my journey, my personal evolution as it were. Comment or not reader, it is your choice. I'm glad people read my stuff. I'm glad I get to read and comment on other people's entries. There's much we can learn from one another.

The best thing is, as we read other entries, we see that we all have similiarities, happiness, sadness, intense joys, deep sorrows, irritations and elations. It's all part of the human experience and aren't we glad we can share it with each other?

I know people who have met people from this site. I am one of them. Who knew he would turn out to be the love of my life? Who knew a short little laundry list, a comment, a listen, and a hand written (sent snail mail) Thank You card would carry me from Iowa to South Carolina? Who knew I would cry and laugh with people I can only touch through words?

I've tried to remember exactly who it was who turned me onto MJ, who ever it was, was on the Literotica chat site and mentioned it. That much I do remember. Thanks to you, I am here and happier than I have ever been. I'm very lucky, for so many reasons. Thanks to Frank who keeps us up and running and makes sure people remain kind to one another here.

This you tube video is very important. MB found it working on a project he and his department will present on the 18th. It's a staff development workshop for ALL of the teachers in the school district. Let's put it this way, there are so many, they have to do their staff development at the convention center downtown.

Because it is my journal birthday and I believe technology is the catalyst to launch us forward is why I chose to include this. If you have kids, you NEED to see this.
