|Wonderful, Lazy Sunday|
March 11, 2012
What a wonderful day this has turned out to be. The weather has been nothing less then spectacular. 65º was the high for the day, and it felt so good. By the time we all got up, got something to eat and got outside it was 11:30am, and it was already 52º.
Wyatt played in the yard with the boys, and Dave and I cleaned out both vans, the green one stunk really bad from sitting so long, so we soaked it with some frebreeze and left all the windows down.
Dave and all the kids walked up to the playground and I stayed behind to finish wiping the inside of the van out. The kids really killed the back of it with pop and food. The next thing I know its 130 already. So i drove up to the playground and told them to come on, we'd go and get pizza for lunch.
We stopped at autozone really quick and picked up a bulb, one of the inside lights stopped working. Stopped at Pizza Hut and came home. We stuffed our faces and watch Ghost Adventures again, and tried to get Wyatt to take a nap before his mom showed up. He didn't, so we all went back outside and played with him till she showed up around 330pm.
The vans still need swept out, so we gathered up all the cans we've been saving since before Christmas, (filled the back of both vans)and went and turned them in. All those cans only fetched us $4. We ran over to the car wash and swept both of them out. I floated the idea of walking down by the lake, because they have the water down really low, it would be easy to walk, and just something to do, I didn't want to go back home. So we took off to the lake. The kids has a blast, we just walked around, talked, skipped rocks. It was fun. The weather has EVERYONE of us in such good spirits. Blues skies and the sun shining down on the water was awesome and it just made you FEEL ALIVE.
As we were walking back to the vans, Jake asked if we could go down to the train tracks for a bit, everyone was like, ok, sure. I told them we'd stop at Sheetz, got everyone a drink, and a snack. We hit the tracks and chilled for a bit. Sat and threw rocks into the water. We were only there 20 minutes and Jake was ready to go home.
I dropped Dee off at the play ground and Dave and Noah went up to play hoops.
They are home now, so I'm going to close this. Might be back later.
