|Boys and their toys|
October 10, 2018
Only just turned two, this little boy could be a devil in cherubs clothing. Big blue eyes and a mass of blond curls, already a charmer and teaser. He's lamenting about his lost "favourite toy"
"What cant you find Dante?"
"Mine excavator." He has a thing about any machinery that is larger than a car.
There are cars everywhere. Even "dirty" ones in my washing machine and dishwasher. They multiply and take over unsuspecting homes. Then they slip under a foot and emulate a rather uncomfortable roller skate (do those even still exist?) I hold up something that looks like an excavator. He looks at it for only a few seconds and shakes his head. "That front-end loader."
What is the difference? So I googled it and am still not the wiser. They are both big with front buckets.
We finally came to the conclusion he left it at his house. "Mama will find your excavator." Nothing like shifting a potential tantrum back to the parent. That seemed to please him. "Mine green tractor?" At least I know what that looks like.
