My tests went as usual yesterday. It was the typical, "Hurry up & wait". Not a lot out of the ordinary. If anything was out of the ordinary, the areas that usual have it together, seemed to be in chaos and vice versa for the usual "off" areas. Anyway, all the preliminary results that were shared with me looked good. The Doc & Transplant coordinator seemed happy with my progress as well.
I do read while waiting. But, I also do a LOT of people watching.
Yesterday, I reaffirmed a thought I've had before ....... hospitals / illnesses are the great equalizers ........ you can be rich, be powerful, can be drop dead (no pun intended) gorgeous or handsome, extremely intelligent or as dumb as a rock, you can be a corporate CEO or a bum .......... but if you are sick (or have been) and you have the gown on and your backside is "in the wind", you are really no different than someone else that's sick. You still have that worried look on your face, you will have the same fidgeting, the nervousness in your voice will be obvious ........ and so on.
