|book 15, a man called ove|
September 25, 2016
so i'm still slowly reading Barbara's essays and Mary's poems.
but I started a new novel a couple days ago. it begins with a hook and a very grouchy, obsessive compulsive old man named ove. he's an hyperbole of course but sometimes in the early chapters he reminds me of c so much I have to put the book down and wonder how this author came to live inside my head because he so adeptly describes ove's actions and commentary while the wife remains silently watching. and sometimes ove comments about his wife's actions which he perceives to mean something but I know she may have been thinking something very different.
so I'm intrigued about where we are going with this man with the hook and his new neighbors, the lanky blonde and his foreigner wife and two kids.
