G'day to all who live in this particular location from time to time! Friday walks in like it owns the place, and I am utterly delighted. I think if I had some dollars to spare I'd be out celebrating with a nice hot lunch somewhere, say like Southgate in Sylvania; they've got supermarkets, shoe stores, novelty places, and rest-your-rumps (ie restaurants! LOL) A-Plenty there and that's what I'd rather be doing today, to have a little party luncheon because my husband got the 'all clear' from the specialist at the hospital yesterday afternoon - he is doing great - his recovery is 100% and he has been given to OK to drive too!
We are very pleased because it's so much more convenient when you can hop into the car and head on down to the local market to get groceries that are running low and so forth. For two weeks it has been rather grim here - while we waited - following the doctor's directions with about 6 different eye drop applications 4 times per day and NO showering (no sneezing either) and a list of NO NOs which was a little intimidating to be honest! But it's all ok now and in the next 24 hours, I can cease the drops (at least, I think that's what he said?!)
However much I might want to go out and have a little celebration, due to low funds, it's not looking too good for this rather fabulous idea to happen! Oh well, never mind! I can make do with the toasted cheese sandwich and instant coffee for yet another day... But boy oh boy, what I could do to a plate of Chinese food (you take your pick of the dishes laid out under the glass) OR Japanese yummies, or then there's a place where you can get just about any sandwich combo you like plain or toasted; or pies sausage rolls and who-knows what else. I think there's a BBQ chicken joint there too so you can have hot chicken with either chips, or wedges! YUM! And of course, Cafe's that make wonderful Cappuccinos etc etc etc...
Well I thought I'd come by and shout out the good news. They will give us a buzz in another month's time or so, for the other cataract eye op on his OTHER eye... at least this time he./ we will know what to expect! If any of you are living anywhere near the current threat of the hurricane please do TAKE CARE, and be safe. I am thinking of all my online connections with prayer in my heart for their safety. Cheerio for now; be safe, and enjoy Friday & the upcoming weekend ahead.
