Snowed most of last night, and most of today. Driving to work today was messy and slow. Fortunately, the roads were clear by the time i got out.
Rick left this morning. His sister came on her way back from Buffalo to drive him home. Feels a little lonely without him here.
H is off today, but i managed to get most of the afternoon free. He was just putting his coat on to leave when i got home. He was on his way to the dentist. He called to reschedule his appointment, and they had an opening today, so he took it. Said he was going to run a couple other errands as well, so i've used the time alone to run a load of wash, empty the dishwasher, talk to my parents, and catch up on diaries.
i also talked to Karen. She phoned to see if i'd meet her down the block on her way home, so she could put the DVD player she got Scott for Christmas in my car, so i can take it home and hide it. If he sees her pull into my driveway, he'll know something's up.
She phoned me yesterday, too, to tell me that "the package you ordered for H is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, so you can come pick it up"
She was clueing me in to the possibility that Scott might call to tell me it's there....and she didn't want me to be going "What package?", since i didn't order anything to be sent to their address...but her mother-in-law DID. And if Scott knows that, he'll open it now, and not wait for Christmas. So i'm the smokescreen.
When H does get home, we have to go to Home Depot and buy toilet parts. So i'm not sure i'll be around to meet Karen.
i was about to say i hope he gets home soon....(and here he is!!) as i'd like to get the stuff done before it gets dark, and before rush hour. It had been snowing again, and i don't want to be driving on icky roads in the dark, during rush hour.
i'll post this, then get dressed. Later, after repairing the toilet, i have to put the guest room back together. Doesn't look like Mom and Dad will be coming up before Christmas this year. She's still sick (ear infection), and not feeling well, and i don't think they need to be traveling in this weather, either. *sigh*
