I got the cookbook put together as best I could. It's not exactly the way I want it...but it's a start.
I took the extra comforters from the guest bed, hung them over the line downstairs and sprayed the hell out of them with Febreeze. They were getting a nasty, musty, moldy smell. Since they're queen-sized comforters, they won't readily fit in my washer. And I'm too cheap to take them to the laundromat. They're not used regularly, just stored folded up on the guest bed, so I figured a good spraying would suffice. Next summer, maybe I'll try washing them, or at least hanging them out in the sun.
Besides puttering around, I read a book today. I read A Christmas Carol. I've seen practically every movie version ever made, but I couldn't remember ever actually reading the original. It was kind of fun reading it, and seeing where different movie versions took bits and pieces. (I've never seen a version that's 100% faithful to the book)
Coaxed Panache into the house around 12:30, and brushed and combed her while we watched "The Chew". That is such an enjoyable, light-hearted, fun show to watch. They all seem to have such a good time and to genuinely like one another.
Spoke to Mom a couple of times today. She was having trouble with her Nook...her Adobe Reader didn't recognize it. She got it figured it out, though, (with a little help from customer support) and all is well.
I spoke to L last night. Hadn't called him since before Mom came up in Oct. We were on the phone for almost 2 hours. I might call him again on Christmas Eve.
And that's been my day. Tomorrow it's back to work. I don't mind, though I also don't mind having 4 day weekends...and wouldn't mind being retired, either! All in good time.....(I hope!!!)
