|There's a Title In Here Somewhere|
June 15, 2018
Sitting outside with Nougat, waiting to see if we're going to get (another) thunderstorm or not. A couple storms have rolled by, we got the Code Red phone call, and we had quite a bit of thunder, a little lightning, but very little rain. Somewhere was getting it pretty bad, though. When I came out a few minutes ago, it was raining lightly over the lake, but not raining at all in the backyard. I wonder why/how that happens.
We went out to eat this afternoon. We were all feeling a little sad cause today was the final episode of "The Chew". It won't be back in the fall. There are still some previously recorded not-yet-aired episodes that will be shown, but today was their farewell. I'm going to miss it. I think I 've seen every episode of the entire 7 seasons. When I was working, I used to tape it on my VCR and watch it in the evening. Now the 3 of us were watching it together. Even Nougat would settle in for "Chew Time". She even had her favorite "Chew spot" for snoozing. It was such a light hearted, fun show to watch. I learned things and got some good recipes, too. I can't imagine what they'll replace it with.
So, anyway, we went out to eat. We were going to go to Steak 'n Shake, but There were rumbles of thunder, so we opted for Denny's. It's closer. My Tuscan chicken sandwich needed more mayo (If they're going to say it has "Sun dried tomato mayo" on it, I think you should be able to taste it. Besides, I like lots of mayo on my sandwiches.) I would order it again, but ask for extra mayo on the side.
Noogie decided it was time to come in. No rain.
Now Brother and I are watching the season finale of "Timeless" on demand. There's nothing else on that any of us wants to watch, so it's a good time to catch up.
I've got lots of films and series on my Amazon watchlist. Yesterday I watched a lovely Russian movie called "I Am Dragon". (The Dragon was pretty cool, it was a beautifully filmed, and a charming fairytale).
And that's all for now. Over and out!
