Mom and I cooked from 10-2. We made stuffed eggplant, zucchini pie and pizza rustica (a kind of pie filled with several kinds of meats, cheeses, eggs, and ricotta). My grandmother used to make it at Easter. I haven’t had it in years.
Mom worked on the crusts for the pies, while I prepped the fillings. She steamed and scooped the eggplants, and I mixed the filling. i did most of the dishes. She did the last few while I stuffed the eggplants. We work well together in the kitchen. And now we have meals for several days.
Nougat looks absolutely gorgeous! Marcy worked on her from 6-8:30 last night. She gave her a shorter haircut, and it looks great (and is easier to maintain). She smells good, too. Marcy is a godsend.
