Crazy mind again last night but his time I woke up screaming because I was being attacked and I couldn't stop it. You know how in your dreams you can never run fast enough or hit hard enough? Well I couldn't hit hard enough. I actually felt the pain from being hit. Too real. Interesting how the body does not allow you to move quickly while asleep to protect you. I have been told this is due to an enzyme but I would have to check on that. Seems like you would wake up with some lag time in your ability to move quickly if that was the case.
I am all caught up on glasses so I will do some shop improvement I have been putting off because it was busy. I need to expand the storage I have for frames as I am running out of room. I also want to go through the frames and donate some of them to nonprofits for use overseas. I have so many of some frames I would not sell them if I had this business for 100 years. No use in keeping them. Take the write off and move on.
Tonight I need to buy a fall/winter jacket. I need that before I buy my hat tomorrow night otherwise I won't know what will look right. Not a big fashion guy but since that time I was stopped on the sidewalk and told that there was a homeless shelter with hot meals and warm beds I have tried to pay a little more attention to my appearance (I really didn't look that bad.....at least in my opinion). So I try a little harder now.
I was disappointed that the labeling law didn't pass in Colorado. I am greatly concerned about our food and the effect it will have on our bodies and environment. 63 countries have either an outright ban on GMO"s or a minimum of a label law. Organic farming can product the food we need. We don't need these huge corporations making food that does not naturally occur in nature. It seems that people in this country are not concerned enough to actually do something. So I will do my part by only buying organic and educating myself in case I am asked by someone to explain the reasons this is important. We are entering the period now that GMO's have been around long enough we will begin to see the damage they will do. Liver and kidney problems, breast tumors in women, estrogen imbalances and reductions in testosterone. An increase in allergies and immune system problems. This next 30 years will be interesting. That will put three generations squarely in the target zone for the effects. I truly hope I am wrong but I have a feeling I'm not.
On the bright side I see the stores carrying more and more organic produce and products. You do have to be careful though. In the states if a product contains any sugar other than cane sugar it has a GMO in it. They can still get away with calling it organic because we don't have a labeling law. Same with any soy product. All soy has been genetically altered outside of what nature would do. But the product is all good. So I read labels and take my time.
