I know being angry about this whole Ferguson thing is stupid but I am. Not because of the no bill reached by the grand jury. That I figured was going to happen. The grand jury listened to the all the evidence and testimony. I am sure the pressure to return an indictment was horrible. I'm surprised the Att. General didn't pay a visit to them personally. I am angry at the whole thing. First the man that was shot was a bully and a criminal. He felt so comfortable being a criminal he walked into a store and just took what he wanted. When the owner tried to stop him he bullied and intimidated him. That says a lot about the community. Second this shooting escalated from this guy stealing cigars! A person is dead because he took cigars. What a waste. Yes the guy was a thug. Yes he was arrogant.
I am angry at the parents for raising this thug but since I don't know them I can't say bad parenting. Maybe this kid was raised right but just decided to go down this criminal path. Don't know. What I do know is now there are scum bags rioting and looting using this situation as a reason to steal and break the law. The news doesn't report how many people are home and not breaking the law.....just the scum bags. The media doesn't say that the lawlessness erupts in front of the cameras......what a coincidence!
Now for the Presidents address about the whole thing. First off it was apparent that the President was not happy with the no bill. He somehow decided that even though the jury had done the job they were charged to do it was a mistake. He went on to say this was something we all needed to learn from. How about lets learn not to break the law? Had this man not broken the law this would have never been set in motion!!! Why do we have to put that aside because he is black like somehow crime is acceptable for him but not others? Like it is not his fault? It is his fault.
I could go on but I don't want to put this anger out in the universe. It makes me sick.
Bottom line is someone is dead. That is just plain sad. Weather or not you feel he was worth living is not your or my choice. His choices set in motion a series of events that culminated in the needless death of a person. Justified? By law yes but when you look at the cost of this whole thing morally......no.
Things I am thankful for:
All the people that kept cool heads thought this whole Ferguson thing.
Our world is much better than 50 years ago
Shrimp......because I like them
