"your goal would be 1200 calories a day."
"i hardly eat anything. i don't think i'm eating much more than that."
so...for the first time in my life i have seriously looked at calories.
turns out, i do typically eat well over 1200 calories. even this summer's lighter eating puts me at 1300 to 1500 calories. this was a bit of a surprise.
in an effort to budge 3 to 10 pounds i'm measuring every bite. it's an interesting new look at eating. some determined tweaking is in order. i am a borderline food fanatic anyway, so i don't want to go overboard on this. i'm wading in slowly. but i do really want to lose those pounds and nothing's budging despite all this exercise, so some food tweaking is the only other end to explore.
neither c nor i have noticed any difference in the half real/half decaf coffee. so today we started a 2 to 1 approach.
effects from increased exercise--
-much greater flexibility
-much more strength
-fewer aches, pains and stiffness
-more energy and enthusiasm
