dear beautiful daughters,
dad made another whopping $607 at yesterday's yard sale. in addition we had friday's sale of $160 for the china hutch (to a thai? family) and the scandinavian bookshelf to t and s (our teacher/tutor neighbors). another funny story on the china hutch. seriously, a book in the making with garage sales.
our new friend z returned on his bike at wrap up time and helped us clean up the drive and pack up all the leftovers from the sale. (we've met his whole family now..just a really wonderful new friend who we will genuinely miss now come each sat morning!) young, still in high school, but with an old soul so we can easily meet and relate to each other out in rumi's field.
we enjoyed a delightful evening with d and s. they invited us down for dinner and we exchanged stories and lots of laughs which after this past week from hell was very much appreciated. it was just the break i needed...a chance to remember OTHER things besides boxes, packing tape and "did you see where i put the measuring tape?"
re-energized this morning, i'm ready to go at it again. very tired but still excited about the road ahead.
and happy to report we are not only still married (amazing enough) but we are also still in love (up there in the realm of miracles)! most especially given the aforementioned week from hell.
ps. be well ch! and s, don't worry about your "defense", you'll do well and the work you've been doing speaks for itself. very exciting success stories of a kicking alive museum taking off along a new and more engaging course.
