Sitting in this tiny spare bedroom with the dog panting behind me says more about how warm it is here tonight than anything I could write down...wish I could tape it and post it here...
At any rate...it's been a very warm day...luckily, I live close to the lake, so there's a descent breeze that blows through the windows once the sun goes down.
I keep reminding myself it's better than winter.
Let's see...what do I have to tell you?
E got a new job. Starts on the 18th...up at a rival veterinary clinic. She's going to be only working 4 days a week...3 in reception and one as an assistant in the back, which she's very excited about. She's wanted to get back into the veterinary field ever since she moved here, so I'm very happy that she found one. The pay is a little better than where she is currently, which is good since it'll pay for the gas she's going to use to drive there (she walks to work currently). We may have to move to a place halfway between her new work and mine, but we'll see how she likes the job before we go looking for places to move to.
I went to Minneapolis on Thursday with Tammy. We had to hit a continuing education class on vaccinations. It was cool...we learned some pretty neat stuff, so that's a plus. We also had time to go to Chipotle, Ikea and Fleet Farm, so it was a great day for us. Unfortunately, we didn't get home until almost 1 in the morning which made getting up at 0530 and working on Friday almost unbearable...but we survived.
I got paid from the website yesterday, so I ordered E's birthday present...she fell in love with an artist named Jennifer Barrineau when we were in Asheville and really wanted some of her work, so I saved up and was able to buy an original for her for her birthday. I'm really excited...I just hope it gets here before too long so I can get it professionally framed too! (check out the artist at: www.jenniferbarrineauart.com )
Does anyone else out here coupon? I needed a hobby since all my scrapbooking stuff is put away to make room for E's stuff, I was needing something else to do with myself, so I started couponing. At first, it was just for fun, but I really do save a TON of money...so I'm going to work at it a little harder. I'm never going to be like the people on "Extreme Couponing", but I like saving a few twenties at the check out lane if I can. I'm just never sure which online coupon sites are worth the time and which aren't...any suggestions?
At any rate...my life is still pretty boring...which is a good thing, I guess.
Love until later,
