Yay! I finally finished the “Dark Space Trilogy” by Jasper T Scott. It only took me over a year to read, because there were long stretches where I wasn’t reading it. It might’ve been an interesting story if I had read it every day, but I found it a chore to read at times. And because I wasn’t reading it as often as I should have, I couldn’t always keep the characters and subplots straight. Overall, it was okay and I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads.
So that’s one finished book so far this year. My current reading challenge is for 10 books (which is a few books shy of my original goal for this year). So, that’s pretty sad. Hopefully, I can finish at least another book before the end of the year.
The next book I’m going to read… I don’t know. I could continue another book I had started and partially read. Or, do I start a new book? I think I have over 200 physical books to read and who knows how many I have on the Kindle. On the Goodreads site, I have 185 books listed as “to read” (I haven’t entered all the books I have yet). At the rate I’m going, I’ll be halfway through in a century… if I live that long.
Deciding what to read next is the hardest part of reading (for me). I think my next book should be a physical book. I think I find them a bit easier to read. But… what do I feel like? Something “new” (published in the past decade) or something “old” (older than me)? Also, will it be sci-fi, fantasy, horror, thriller or something else? Too many choices. I might just close my eyes and grab one.
