Memorial Day Weekend Recap
May 27, 2014

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. So good that I'm whooped just sitting here thinking about it. lol

After we got home from Noah's graduation on Friday, Dave and I went to Lowe's and got the bricks and mulch to fix up the front of the house, we didn't have the money last summer to do anything with it and I want it to look really nice for Noah's party Friday and the REST of the summer. $20 for 30 bricks and 5 bags of mulch wasn't too bad. Stopped at Walmart and picked up a few cans of paint for my used wicker chairs, they are white and look rough so a new coat of paint will make them look nice. We picked Wyatt up too, we got him for the weekend.

Saturday while Dave was at work, I spray painted 2 of my wicker chairs. I texted Mom and asked her if her and Paul could come over and pressure wash the back patio and the back of the house.. She said yes and asked if we needed the grass mowed.. well sure! So they were here about a hour later, Dave got home a short time later. Paul mowed the grass and then pressure washed the patio, and the house, and MAN did it come out NICE, and so clean!! We ordered pizza for dinner, we all sat around the table and stuffed our faces. Mom helped me paint another piece of my wicker, and then Dave started working on getting the brick pavers set up in front of the house. He got half way done before call it a night, We sat out back for a little bit, and then Mom and Paul headed home. Dave and I ran back to Lowe's to pick up more brick pavers because we didn't get enough the first time, so we bought 40 more. It was close to 11pm by the time we got home, and I crawled in bed and crashed.

Saturday morning we were up early, had coffee, got ready to take Jake up to North East, Pa, which is practically ERIE, so this neat train station they have, and its suppose to have a lot of train traffic on the 2 sets of tracks they go by it. Plus it has a number of old trains and train cars on the lot that you can climb on, and go inside the engines and sit and just look at everything. Jake was in heaven. He got to sit in a Dash-8, his all time favorite NS train engine. Wyatt and I got to ride in a little mini train car, it was fun, the entire place was fun, I actually loved it more then Horseshoe Curve. Jake only caught 7 trains, and it was due to the holiday weekend.. So we do have plans to make a weekend of going back up to Erie, go swimming,, and then train chasing the next day. Jake wanted to stay longer, but we left a little after 4, and stopped for ice cream, and a sandwhich, we made it home a little after 6.. Dave worked on the front of the house (I watched lol) he got the one side done, and ran out of mulch. It looks so damn good!! I, again was in bed at 11pm.

Monday, I got sucked into working in the morning. 8a-1pm. I need to call today to see it I get time and half since it was a holiday. They always open the rest rooms at the courthouse, because of the parade, and the activities they have going on.. so really, all I had to do was open them, pull trash around the courthouse square twice, and cleaned them after the parade, and then leave. Easy work. So Dave went with me,so I had someone to talk too and we just sat, and relaxed.. Walked to sheetz for coffee.. then back over for a sandwhich for lunch, pulled trash twice.. then my boss came out at 1230pm, told me to clean em' and lock em' up and get outta there, so that's what I did. Dave and I then ran to Walmart, got some stuff for a picnic, and headed home. Mom and Paul came over about 3pm, and we cooked on the grill. Paul ended up going back over to there house to get some clippers, came back and him and Dave clipped a bunch of the pine tree branches that were hanging low in the back yard.. then they burned them all! We had a nice time, and by the time Mom and Paul left, they were whooped. Tash and Kasey stopped by for a bit, and we ended up on the trampoline for a few minutes! It was good day, with a good ending.

This morning, we were up early with the kids, went and got groceries, more mulch. Dave is off today, and had plans to finish the front but its rained twice this morning. Ugh. I want to get everything done so it looks nice for Noah's party on Friday after graduation! We went today to get decorations too for the party.. I was excited!! Noah invited a bunch of friends from school, so far 10 have RSVP for it, so we should have a good time Smile I'm sooo looking forward to it!!

Alright, Im outta here, I need a cup of coffee and a shower, Soo excited I have a 3 day weekend coming and my boy is graduating!!!
